Zendaya and Odell Beckham Jr. not an item

Published by:

odell-beckham-jr-zendaya

Just slow down everybody! Just because you are pictured with someone on the red carpet does not mean that you are…dating! Yes, they showed up to the Grammys afterparty together arm-in-arm. Yes, they are friends, but that doesn’t mean he’s earned “boyfriend” status just yet. The two first sparked rumors that they were dating after posing for a few couple-ish pics following the awards show on Feb. 15.

During an interview with New York’s 92.3 AMP Radio on Thursday, the 19-year-old actress revealed that her post-Grammys photo op with the New York Giants star “wasn’t really a date.” Zendaya said the two “went to some events together” because they’re “friends,” but explained that they “were with a group.”

And if Odell, 23, wants to take things any further, he’s going to have to clear it with her father first. The former Disney Channel star joked that “just because you’re in the NFL, you killin’ stuff, that doesn’t mean you get to skip past pops.”

It’s too bad because the two make a super cute couple! We’ll just have to wait and see what happens…Go Zendaya!

Amy Poehler’s Difficult People has been added to 2016 Paleyfest lineup. The Paley Center for Media today announced that the critically acclaimed Hulu Original comedy series will complete the PaleyFest Los Angeles 2016 lineup. Creator/Writer/Executive Producer and Star Julie Klausner, along with stars Billy Eichner, Andrea Martin, James Urbaniak, Cole Escola, and Executive Producer/Showrunner Scott King are scheduled to participate as the first Hulu Original at PaleyFest LA on Friday, March 18 at 7:30pm PT at the Dolby Theatre.

“Being included in this year’s PaleyFest LA is a huge honor. It’s terribly validating as a creator and artist to be recognized by such an esteemed institution and it’s exciting to get the opportunity to interact with Difficult People fans in the excellent company of the teams behind other great shows,” said Difficult People Creator/Writer/Executive Producer and Star Julie Klausner. “The Paley Center was one of the first entities to be hip enough, in a sea of navel-gazing film and high art snobs, to realize how groundbreaking, vital and important the medium of television has always been, and to give its creatives their due. Finally, on a personal note, my first job out of college was as a curatorial assistant in the New York office of The Paley Center for Media (then called The Museum of Television and Radio), so to be able to return to Paley as an honored creator, writer and star of an Amy Poehler-produced series is beyond any dream I would have been bold enough to have formed in my twenties. I am so thrilled.”

“I’m thrilled to be a part of the first PaleyFest Los Angeles panel featuring the cast of a Hulu series,” said Billy Eichner. “I’ve had great experiences doing Paley panels for both Billy on the Street and Parks and Recreation in the past and I’m thrilled to add Difficult People to the list!”

The 33rd annual PaleyFest LA is the ultimate TV fan fest, which grants attendees access to special screenings and exclusive conversations with the stars and creative minds behind fan-favorite TV shows. Previously announced events at PaleyFest LA from March 11-20 include: FOX’s Empire; AMC’s Better Call Saul; FOX’s Scream Queens;ABC’s black-ish; CBS’s Supergirl; ABC’s Scandal; CBS’s The Big Bang Theory; AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead; An Evening with Dick Wolf, with the stars of NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., & Chicago Med;and FX’s American Horror Story: Hotel.

Citi is the Official Card of PaleyFest LA, and Citi cardmembers have special presale access to tickets. All Paley Center Members and Citi cardmembers can begin purchasing individual tickets for the newly announced show Difficult People on Tuesday, February 23. This show will be available for purchase to the general public on Friday, February 26. Paley Television Festival, PaleyFest benefits the Paley Center’s preservation and archival digitization efforts, and its ongoing mission to explore the significant impact of media on our culture and society. Debbie Allen Tackles Gun Violence in a Dramatic Way

Published by:

Freeze Frame Conversation 2

Debbie Allen is an architect of change. The living legend is using her celebrity to bring awareness to gun violence and has started a movement entitled, “Architects of Change: The Conversation Series; reframing the conversation around gun violence.”

Allen is making it her mission to bring awareness to gun violence, and she has recruited the help of some prominent people to help her make her case.

Allen’s latest production, Freeze Frame, is a theatrical journey about gun violence in America. The production opened in Los Angeles on February 4th at the Wallis Annenberg Center for The Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

Allen held a panel discussion, moderated by Maria Shriver, about gun violence immediately following the World Premiere of Freeze Frame,

During the discussion, Shriver asked Allen what sparked her interest to create [Freeze Frame] such a project, “You wrote this and made it such passion” she noted. Allen responded by saying she had experienced racial segregation, witnessed violence against others just because they were black and went on to say, that this topic is, “more relevant than ever” and that “I just imagined myself” in that position. A very moved Allen revealed, “I keep rewriting it.”

Allen concluded by saying, “The Arts helped me rise up against; The Arts helped me live.” Allen said she knew she could not become desensitized to gangs and police violence. “Each time I would hear about a child I would hear about it as if it were my own,” in reference to why this topic is “more relevant than ever” the Grey’s Anatomy Director said. The production pays homage to Sandy Hook, San Bernardino, Columbine and others. “Sandy Hook tore my heart apart – it just broke my heart,” the FAME alum said.

“I feel like a Children’s Rights Activist. I know that the Arts is the way. There is nothing like the Arts,” said Allen when asked how youth can otherwise spend their time. Shriver asked Allen what was next in terms of what everyone can do. Allen responded by saying, ” I only know what I can do. This production Freeze Frame – it made you look inside.” A very humbled Debbie Allen confessed, “I did a lot of studies to do this.”  She also touched on people being afraid to speak up, saying, “We have lost our moral spine.” She challenged the audience to be a part of the movement by standing up and saying something.” [Jada Pinkett Smith] stood up and said something – in reference to the recent Oscar controversy.

http://popsourcetv.com/jada-pinkett-smith-puts-the-academy-awards-on-blast/

“You have to have courage [to say something]. I want to follow the political election, take this show on the road, ask people to reach out and say something, ” said Allen.

Allen was asked by Shriver [to answer] what is the one thing you want people to take away. To answer her question, Allen said, “Stop the madness. That’s the purpose of Freeze Frame. Take a good look at this picture. Where are you in this picture.” She also said she would like to bring attention to the fact that “What we do affects one another” and added if “The world would start to understand that we are one that would be my hope.”

Shriver summed up everything by saying, “It begins with us. We can all leave here feeling hopeful. Everybody has a voice – everybody can do these five things [a short list featured in program booklet] and still go about daily life.” Her last words were to Debbie Allen. The former first lady said, “Debbie, I thank you for being artsy, having passion, and commitment to make us all freeze and be a part of this process.”
